Extra Curricular - Air Training Corps

Description of Activity

Activities at the Stanmore Unit including basic training (Principles of Flight, Map Reading, Aeronautics, Air Navigation, Drill, Ranks, Badges); Also Weekends Away, Adventure Training, Summer Camps, Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Length of Activity

Twice weekly at Stanmore Community Centre; Monday and Wednesday, 7.15 – 9.45 pm

Age Group

Girls aged 13 - 18

What kind of girl would enjoy this?

Girls who would like to be actively involved in outdoor pursuits and wish to learn about Flying.

Any previous knowledge/experience required?

No

What skills or attributes does the activity help to promote?

Understanding of Flying/Flight Navigation, Physical Skills, Learn Organisational Skills, Responsibility for Others, Team Work.
