NurseryNURSERY (Redington) - For girls aged 3 to 4 yearsRedington was opened in January 1997, providing an excellent education in a secure and caring environment. It is well equipped to offer stimulation for physical and mental development.Girls enter Redington the term after their third birthday, following informal assessment with one of the Nursery teachers. For the very youngest there is the option of attending mornings only until their final three terms. All girls in Redington have a place in a Reception class in Vincent House. The Nursery is fortunate to be staffed by adults who are experienced and fully qualified to work with children of this age group. The staff understand the girls' needs and are sympathetic in their approach, particularly to those for whom Redington may be the first time they have spent time away from home. The three-way partnership of child, parent and teacher is encouraged at all times and staff are available to discuss individual needs. The girls are introduced to a broad curriculum that encompasses the foundation stage Early Learning Goals for three to five year olds as laid down by the DfES. There is a weekly theme associated with an aspect of the curriculum and the girls are encouraged to contribute by bringing in items from home.
