Extra-Curricular Activities

However broad and stimulating an academic programme is, we believe it needs to be complemented by an exciting extra-curricular programme. New subjects and interests provide a sense of wonder, curiosity and discovery and our extra-curricular programme has been developed to offer all these aspects to our girls. The range of clubs and activities offered is varied and broad from sport to languages and cookery to creative arts. Many girls take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme which helps foster their physical, organisation and teamwork skills.

Awareness of the needs of others and of the outside world is also crucial. Our Community Service programme and support for local and national charities contributes to broadening girls' awareness of the needs of those less fortunate than themselves.

There are many opportunities for students to take part in trips both in the UK and abroad, from day trips to museums, theatres and galleries to residential visits such as language exchanges, skiing in the USA, watersports in the South of France and World Challenge adventure expeditions, to far flung destinations such as Borneo and Peru.
