Pastoral Care

At Northwood College we believe that every girl is unique and special and we want each girl to do her best. We recognise an individual's achievements, be they academic, or in an extra-curricular field. Each girl has a contribution to make to our community and we applaud and celebrate these different contributions in a number of ways.

We support each girl in all that she does. All members of staff take an active interest in the academic and pastoral development of their pupils. Each girl is a member of a form and of a House. Through the House system there is frequent contact with older and younger girls and these links across the school years are an important part of our community.

The secure pastoral support network which we offer to each girl from the point she enters the school enables her to develop confidence in her own ability and helps her to take informed decisions. Development of self-esteem and respect for others, for their traditions, cultures and faiths, are essential to all of us.
