Life in the Sixth Form

On entering the Sixth Form, our main aim is for you to achieve the highest A Level grades possible, thus enabling you to secure the university course of your choice. Academic standards are high and we have a committed and talented teaching staff. Teaching groups are small. We see this as essential for effective teaching and learning. It provides an opportunity for discussion and small group work, as well as ensuring a high degree of individual attention from the teachers.

The tutor groups in the Sixth Form are also small so that there is plenty of opportunity for you to have individual discussions with your tutor. Your tutor will play a very important part in your life in the Sixth Form; they will liaise with your subject teachers, monitor your progress and will guide you through the Higher Education applications process.

Sixth Formers have full access to all the College's facilities, as well as their own dedicated teaching rooms, study areas equipped with computers and individual study rooms. Year 12 have their own Common Room with an adjacent café and a Fitness Suite is also available for use by all Sixth Formers.
