full-time teachers and one part-time teacher. We teach the London
Board Edexcel Syllabus. We achieve excellent results in GCSE, ‘A’ Level
Mathematics and Further Mathematics Examinations.
-
Our students are entered for the National Maths Challenges in
Years 7 and 8. Years 9 and 10 take the Intermediate Maths Challenge.
Our Years 11, 12 and 13 take the Senior Maths Challenge. Some of
our students in Year 9 attend the Royal Institute Mathematics Master
Classes.
-
Our enthusiastic Sixth Form assist willing and creative staff
in the running of our weekly Mathematics Club. We also offer a
weekly Surgery in support of our students.
-
All students have access to Autograph, which is a graph drawing
and statistical package. They use spreadsheets in the course of
their work. The Mathematics Department has a wide range of resources
including interactive classboards, specialist software, including
lesson starters and mental mathematics, as well as graphic calculators
to help us to develop our students’ mathematical skills.
-
It is our aim to encourage students to gain confidence in their
skills and develop a love and enjoyment of our subject.
