Upper School
Years 10 and 11 - For girls aged 14 to 16 years
Upper School at Northwood College comprises Years 10 and 11, the
two years of study leading to GCSE.
Upper School is regarded as a unit of the College with its own identity,
reinforced by the fact that separate assemblies and special activities
take place for Upper School girls.
There is a wide choice of subjects and provision of study periods
for girls in Years 10 and 11 doing 9 GCSE subjects. More able girls
have the opportunity to study 10 subjects. One aim of this section
is to foster the development of the whole child, who is capable of
operating independently and on her own initiative, while maintaining
traditional values and respect for others.
